Gallery 2010 presents Immersed – new photographic works by Annabelle Gaspar.
Sydney photographer Annabelle Gaspar presents a new body of work at Gallery 2010. Gaspar’s creative energies have led her to theatre, music, and design – however the exhibition Immersed will focus on her first passion, photography. Gaspar’s artistic practice has been described as instinctual and organic – as she captures the energy within various underwater settings. Mirrored surface reflections, fractured light and masked identities make this series of Gaspar’s photographs both haunting and ambiguous. The images in Immersed delve beneath the surface, exploring the twilight zones between movement and stillness, physicality and fragility, male and female, the known and the unknown.
