Gallery 2010 presents Not OK Computer by Matt Liggins.
Not OK Computer is a new collection of ink drawing, collage, sculpture and digital imagery by Matt Liggins. The artist casts a wide net over contemporary social and political discourse, presenting a softly satirical digest through his playful art brut style. Liggins is concerned with the often negative influence of mainstream media on society, misinterpretation of language and the profound impact than humanity has on the environment.
In Not OK Computer Liggins considers the ever expanding digital elements of today’s world: merging supermarket check outs, cad drafting, the matrix, war drones and city traffic frustrations. Each piece in Not OK Computer critiques and challenges the dominance of technology in our daily lives.
